Lady Tigers volleyball defeats Hillsboro

The McClain Lady Tigers defeated the Hillsboro Lady Indians in three straight sets in their Frontier Athletic Conference game on Tuesday, Sept. 21 at Hillsboro High School. 

MHS won by scores of 25-20, 25-20 and 25-16 to season the FAC win. 

Hillsboro was led in kills by Mya Bell and Samantha Tipton with five kills each, followed by Coralee Akers with four. Chloe Masslow led MHS with five aces, while Bell and Masslow each had 12 service aces. Teammate Akers had 11 service aces in the loss. 

Akers led HHS with three total blocks, while Brynli Labig and Tipton each had two total blocks. 

Bell was Hillsboro’s digs leader with eight, while Akers had five and Addison Huff finished with four. Huff led HHS with 15 assists.
