Lady Indians drop game to Blanchester

The Hillsboro Lady Indians outscored the Blanchester Lady Wildcats in the second half, but it was the first 16 minutes that hurt the Lady Indians Tuesday night at Hillsboro High School. HHS fell to BHS 50-36.

HHS now stands at 0-7 overall.

In the first half on Tuesday the Lady Indians were held to eight points, six in the first quarter, while the Wildcats scored 24 points, including 13 points in the second quarter.

HHS came back strong in the final two quarters, scoring 14 points in each quarter. In those same quarters, BHS (6-3) scored 13 points in each as HHS outscored BHS, 28-26.

Jenni Willey led all scorers with 14 points for the Lady Indians. A.J Sanders scored five points, followed by Taylor Moberly, Maggie Tamborski and Danielle Gillman with four points each. Whitney Earley finished with three points and Carey Juillerat scored two points.

Richardson led BHS with 11 points.

HHS will play again on Saturday, Jan. 8 as they host the Whiteoak Lady Wildcats at HHS.[[In-content Ad]]
