Lady Indians cross-country 5th at districts

The Hillsboro Lady Indians placed fifth overall at the Division II SE District race at Rio Grande this past Saturday.

HHS finished with 124 points, 10 points more than fourth-place Fairland, who totaled 114 points. The winning school was Zane Trace at 44 points, followed by Unioto (58) and Fairfield Union (112), as the top four schools advanced to the regional tournament.

The Lady Indians had a total time of 1:55:35.00, for an average time of 22:43.01.

Leading HHS was Alissa Hauke with a 13th-place time of 21:33. Megan Kinsey was also in the Top 20 finishers, placing 17th with a final time of 22:00.

Reaghan Haines placed 20th with a time of 22:34 to give HHS three runners in the Top 20.

Other HHS times included: Cierra Neal (34th, 23:05), Caitlin Foley (44th, 24:20) and Madi St. Clair (58th, 25:57).
