HILLSBORO — After taking a tough loss last week to East Clinton at the Snow Hill Country Club, the Hillsboro boys golf team bounced back with two big wins at the Hillsboro Elks Golf Course.
On Tuesday, Sept. 13, Hillsboro defeated Madison-Plains, 163-237.
Austin Bagshaw and Josh Clark led the Indians with a low score of 39.
Taylor Anderson followed with a 42, with other scores including: Levi Fleming 43, Thomas Wilkin 49 and Alex VanZant 50.
On Wednesday, Sept. 14 Hillsboro continued to improve by shooting a score of 159 against London's 184 for the South Central Ohio League win.
Hillsboro's score of 159 is their first score below 160 at their home course in several years.
Bagshaw and Fleming each led HHS with a low score of 38.
Clark came in with a strong 39, followed by at VanZant 44, Anderson 47, and Wilkin 53.
"This was our final home match of the season, and it was really nice to see two of our seniors, Levi and Josh, play so well in their final high school round at the Elks," Hillsboro coach Dan Spidel said. "Add in the 38 by Austin, and not many teams are going to be able to beat that at the Elks."[[In-content Ad]]
