The Hillsboro Indians' baseball team had their season ended on Thursday, falling to the No. 7 Division II state-ranked Miami Trace Panthers by a 6-3 score at Shaffer Park in Hillsboro.

MT had to have the Div. II SE District Sectional Final game moved to Hillsboro due to wet field conditions after a strong rain in Fayette County, but the location of the game didn't matter, as this was the third time MT defeated the Indians this season, as they are both members of the South Central Ohio League.

Hillsboro went 1-1 in the postseason, defeating Sheridan by a 2-1 score earlier this week.

For the season, the Indians finish 7-16 overall with an SCOL mark of 5-9.

Seniors playing their final game for HHS were Seth Meyer, Nick Stacy and Brandon Carter.

MT will play again on May 21 as they will face No. 5 seed Warren at Ohio University in Athens. MT is a No. 1 seed.
