Hillsboro ladies win home finale

The Hillsboro Lady Indians won their home finale on Wednesday, defeating the Miami Trace Lady Panthers by 48 strokes on a sunny afternoon in Hillsboro at the Elks Golf Course.

HHS seniors playing in their final home match were Halee Allen, Mallory Mullenix and Haylee Wehrung, as all three players kept their final nine-round score under 50.

The win puts HHS at 7-0 in the South Central Ohio League with one regular-season match remaining before the SCOL Tournament, Saturday at Buckeye Hills in Greenfield.

Allen was the medalist with a low-score of 47.

Mullenix followed with a 48 and Wehrung scored a 49, as HHS defeated the Lady Panthers for the second straight day.

Also for HHS, Hanna Breeden scored a 53, Abby Harrison had a 56 score and Delaney Murray finished with a 71.

Miami Trace scores included: Taylor Kirkpatrick (59), Hannah Peterson (60), Miranda Wheeler (61), Madisyn Callahan (65), Cara Walters (67) and Kiirsten Truex (67).
