4 Highland County players earn AP All-District honors

There were four football players combined from Hillsboro and McClain who earned All-District (Southeast) honors for their play in the 2013 football season.

For Hillsboro, safety Toby Warrington, a junior, was selected to the Division III team as special mention. HHS ended the season with a 1-9 record, with their win coming against Landmark Christian in Week 4.

Warrington this season had 62 tackles and five deflections. He also played quarterback and running back on offense.

The McClain Tigers had three players named Division IV All-District with senior Chris Sellman and junior Ryan Faulconer earning first-team honors for their defensive play this season. Earning special mention honors was senior Dylan Trefz.

Sellman totaled 91 tackles (five for loss) with two recovered fumbles, two forced fumbles and one sack at linebacker.

Faulconer, at strong safety, recorded 74 tackles (four for loss) with two sacks, four recovered fumbles, two caused fumbles, two pass breakups and one interception.

Trefz, as a defensive tackle, totaled 70 tackles (two for loss) and three sacks.
