On Aug. 18, the Highland County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a sexual offender, who had moved and failed to notify the Sheriff’s Office.
An investigation was initiated and it was found that Jody L. Watson, Jr., 25, had last registered an address of 9155 Dade Road in
Union Township. It was alleged that Watson had stopped staying at this address several months ago and had been staying at a location in the city of
Hillsboro. A warrant was sought for the arrest of Watson. It was also learned that Watson was on supervision with the Ohio Adult Parole Authority
for a 2006 case in Highland County Common Pleas Court, where he was found guilty of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
After being placed on supervision, Watson was also found to be in violation of the terms of his supervision once before.
