Sardinia man killed in Route 32 crash

An 86-year-old Sardinia man has died after an accident along Route 32 in Brown County.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that Phillip D. Wilson failed to yield for a stop sign on Stieman Road at Route 32 and his 1994 Chevy 1500 was hit by a 2007 Ford Edge driven by a 28-year-old Hillsboro man who was eastbound on S.R. 32.
Wilson was not wearing a safety belt and was thrown from his truck, according to reports.
Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene by the Brown County Coroner, Dr. Tim McKinley.
The driver and passengers in the Ford were transported to Mount Orab-Mercy Medical Center.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Georgetown Post.[[In-content Ad]]
