OVI sobriety checkpoint in Warren County Sept. 12
Lebanon - The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced today that Troopers will conduct an OVI checkpoint in Warren County on Sept. 12.
The OVI checkpoint, funded by federal grant funds, is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.
As of September 2025, there have been 6,345 OVI-related crashes in which 258 people were killed and 2,568 people injured in Ohio.
Lieutenant Chad Smith, commander of the Lebanon Post, said, “State Troopers have made a total of 10,434 Operating a Vehicle Impaired (OVI) arrests this year in an ongoing effort to address the issue of impaired driving. OVI checkpoints are strategically implemented to deter such behavior and to proactively remove these hazardous drivers from the roadways.”
The location of the checkpoint will be announced on Friday, Sept. 12.
