Ohio gas prices continue to climb

The latest AAA (www.aaacentral.com) survey shows Ohio's statewide average price for regular-grade gasoline at $3.82 a gallon, compared to $3.79 the previous week.

Gas was $3.75 for regular unleaded in Hillsboro Monday morning.

According to AAA, one month ago the average was $3.50 for regular gasoline across the state. One year ago, the state average was $2.83 per gallon.

Ohio's record average price is $4.05, set in July 2008.

Several states have topped the $4 a gallon mark again, including Alaska, California, New York, Connecticut, Hawaii and Illinois, according to AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge.

Hawaii has the highest price in the U.S. at $4.48 per gallon. Wyoming has the lowest, at $3.54.[[In-content Ad]]
