ODOT District 9 releases weekly Highland County construction update

The following ODOT construction projects are anticipated to impact traffic in Highland County. All outlined work is weather permitting.

State Route 73

SR 73 Intersection Changes — work will begin during the week of April 27, 2026, to convert the intersection of State Route 73 and Prospect Road to an all-way stop. Currently, this intersection operates as a two-way stop requiring only traffic along Prospect Road to stop before entering or crossing SR 73. 

SR 73 Bridge Replacement — A bridge replacement project on SR 73 over Ohio Brush Creek between SR 785 and Flat Run Road.

CONTINUING IMPACTS

One lane will be maintained by a temporary signal.

Estimated completion: fall 2026.

State Route 753

SR 753 Bridge Repair —  A bridge repair project on SR 753 over Paint Creek Lake between Snake Road and Paint Creek Road.  

CONTINUING IMPACTS

SR 753 is closed between Snake Road and Paint Creek Road.
Detour: SR 41 to U.S. 50 to SR 28 to SR 753
