Notice to HCP advertisers: Effective Jan. 1, 2026, The Highland County Press will implement an across-the-board rate increase of a modest 5 percent on all current rates. This represents the first such increase in at least two decades. Under current ownership, The Highland County Press has absorbed all of our added costs, from printing and delivery, to online content. This modest increase will not offset those added costs of doing business, but it is necessary – and probably well past due.
