On Aug. 20 at 5:32 a.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a call of a subject kicking a door at an apartment at the Cedarwoods Apartment complex.

Upon the officer's arrival, he was met at the door of the apartment by the resident. The resident pointed to a male subject standing in the living room and stated to the officer that he had just broken her window and climbed into her apartment. At this time, the subject fled from the back door apartment with the officer giving chase.

After chasing the subject on foot throughout the apartment complex, the officer was able to apprehend the subject after a struggle. The subject was identified as Kevin R. Daniels of Newtonsville. It was determined that Mr. Daniels had an active no bond warrant on an indictment from the Brown County Sheriff's Office and was considered violent and possibly armed and dangerous. Daniels was also charged by the Hillsboro Police Department with burglary, assault, criminal damaging and resisting arrest.[[In-content Ad]]
