Juillerat Enterprises purchases Mowrystown Post Office building

The longtime home of the Mowrystown Post Office and The Old Hotel Apartments building has new ownership.
Built in 1903, the 108-year-old brick structure has been home to numerous businesses, ranging from a bank, to a hotel, to a funeral home, to a fraternal organization.
Highland County Press columnist Jerry Pruitt has written a number of articles on the building that's situated at 4 Main Street, Mowrystown.
This week, Juillerat Enterprises, LLC, comprised of Klayton and Kara Juillerat and their young daughter, Kenley, announced their acquisition of the property.
"This has been here for more than a century, 108 years," Klayton Juillerat said. "We like that we'll be restoring a part of the Mowrystown community history."
Workers were busy this week remodeling the apartments on the north side of the building.
The Juillerat family has scheduled an open house for Oct. 29, from 2-4 p.m. Refreshments will be served and tours of the building will be offered. The community is invited.
According to the new owners, the Mowrystown Post Office will remain at its present location. In addition, a new barbershop is in the plans.
