Hillsboro Police Report: Department investigates triple stabbing
Charges are pending following a triple stabbing that occurred in a number of apartments on Taylor Drive early New Year's day.
According to the Hillsboro Police Department, this incident, along with other altercations, kept officers of the Hillsboro Police Department with the assistance of the Highland County Sheriff's Office throughout the night. Additional manpower had to be called in to assist on-duty officers on the New Year's Eve holiday (early morning Jan. 1, 2011).
The HPD received a report of a large disturbance involving a number of apartments at 100 Taylor Drive. As officers of the Department were unable to immediately respond due to another large disturbance at an area bar, deputies of the Highland County Sheriff's Office initially responded. HPD officers were able to respond a short time later with additional manpower being called in from off-duty personnel.
Upon investigation, it was determined that three persons had been stabbed. The three persons stabbed were Justin W. Faulkner, 26, of Sabina; Tammy R. Carver, 44, of Hillsboro; and Michael S. Fenner, 21, of Hillsboro. Also injured in the altercation was Vern D. Coburn, 55, of Hillsboro. Faulkner, Carver, and Coburn were transported to the Highland District Hospital by the Hillsboro Fire and Rescue. Fenner declined immediate treatment. Charges are pending.
This incident is still under investigation by the Hillsboro Police Department.
The HPD also investigated the following:
On Dec. 31, the Hillsboro Wal-Mart reported they had a female they had detained for theft. Upon investigation, several electronic items had been concealed, and the female left without paying for them. Angela Seward of Greenfield was arrested for theft.

Jeremy Steward, Bainbridge, bench warrant.
Travis McRoberts, Sardinia, failure to display two license plates.
Matthew Morrison, Cincinnati, failure to display two license plates.
Gerald Fletcher, Hillsboro, drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension, and insufficient headlights.
David Wilson, Hillsboro, driving under suspension.
Bain Parker, Seaman, driving under suspension.
On Saturday, Jan. 1 at 1:40 a.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a report of a large disturbance at the Ole Depot bar, located at 421 N. West Street. Officers of the Hillsboro Police Department and deputies from the Highland County Sheriff's Office responded to the incident. Carrie D. Snow, 38, of New Vienna, was arrested by Hillsboro officers and charged with disorderly conduct (a misdemeanor of the fourth degree) and for resisting arrest (a misdemeanor of the second degree). A male subject was also taken into custody by a deputy of the Highland County Sheriff's Office.
