Hillsboro Police Report

On Jan. 9, 2011 at approximately 1:30 a.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a call from Robert Laine Bull of Milford. Mr. Bull reported while at the Ole Depot he allowed a friend to rest in a vehicle belonging to his mother. Upon returning to his vehicle, Mr. Bull found the vehicle missing. The Highland County Sheriff's Office recovered the vehicle on Ross Road around noon on Jan. 9. This incident is currently under investigation.

At 7:32 a.m., the office received a call from UDF reporting a theft in gas. The store manager confronted the subject and requested he remove the piece of paper that was placed over the license plate. When returning to the store, the subject left without paying for the gas. This incident is currently under investigation.

At 11:35 a.m., the office received a call from First Stop reporting a theft in gas. The suspect vehicle is described as a silver Ford van. The incident remains under investigation.

At 5:05 p.m., the office received a call from Walmart reporting a theft. Loss prevention observed a female placing items under other items in her shopping cart. The female paid for some items but failed to pay for the concealed items. Amber R. Roades of Hillsboro was detained and arrested for theft.[[In-content Ad]]
