On Saturday, April 14 at approximately 7:57 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a report of a two-car crash in the 100 block of West Main Street near West Street. Upon the officer's arrival, it was found that a blue Pontiac driven by Julie K. Chaney, 28, of Leesburg was attempting to back from a parking space in front of Christopher's Bar when she failed to observe a taupe-colored Ford driven by Pamela F. Reid, 43, of Danville stopped in traffic on West Main Street. Chaney struck the front of Reid's vehicle, causing non-functional damage to both. Chaney was issued a citation for non-compliance suspension and improper backing.
[[In-content Ad]]On Tuesday, April 17 at approximately 3:22 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a report of a two-car crash in front of 123 East Walnut Street. Upon the officer's arrival, it was found that a dark green, full-size Chevrolet truck driven by Lois M. Tankersley, 52, of Peebles attempted to make a right-hand turn from the alley next to 123 East Walnut Street onto East Walnut when she failed to maintain control by striking the side of a parked white Honda owned by Christopher B.D. McGinty, 21, of Hillsboro, causing nonfunctional damage to both vehicles. Tankersley was issued a citation for failure to maintain control.
