Hillsboro Police Report

On Saturday, April 7 at approximately 4:49 p.m., Deloris Yankee was backing her 2003 Pontiac from a parking space at Subway in the 200 block of North High Street in Hillsboro. In doing so, she struck a 1997 Saturn belonging to Brittany Bierley, which was parked.

On Friday, April 6 at approximately 1:39 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a call on an accident at East and Muntz Street. Upon investigation, it was found Andrew Hilterbrand of Hillsboro was driving a 2005 Chevy southbound on East Street. Hilterbrand turned left in front of a 1997 Chrysler driven by Melvin Burnison of Hillsboro. Hilterbrand was cited for failing to yield.

On April 4, Connie Horne reported a complaint of theft and vandalism to her rental property. It was reported that when they returned to the residence, all the windows were found open and the copper water line had been cut and removed from the property. Water was spraying from the cut line inside the residence. The HIllsboro Fire Department was contacted and responded to shut off the utilities.

On April 7, John Payne reported a theft from his Hillsboro residence. It was stated a metal desk was stolen from the garage of a rental property.

On April 6, Donald Walker was attempting to park at Save-A-Lot when another driver took the space that Walker wanted. It was stated Walker was cussing and accelerated his vehicle when the the driver told him to slow down. It was then stated Walker made threats to the other driver. The incident is still under investigation.
