Hillsboro Police Report

On Jan. 30 at approximately 4:35 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a report of criminal damaging in the 100 block of West Main Street. Upon the officers' arrival, it was found that a person(s) had thrown a brick through the windshield and passenger side window of a motor vehicle. A report was taken, and the incident remains under investigation.
On Jan. 31 at approximately 1:38 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a report of breaking and entering in the 100 block of East North Street. Upon the officers' arrival, it was found that a person (s) had thrown a rock through the window of a vacant home and made entry. The electric meter and service box were taken, along with copper wire being cut from the basement. A report was taken, and the incident remains under investigation.
On Feb. 2 at approximately 9:05 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received two 911 hang-ups from a Cedarwoods Apartment. Upon the officers' arrival, a male subject was located trying to flee the officers out the back door. The male subject was apprehended and identified as 42-year-old Larry Debo, Jr. of Hillsboro and was found to have three outstanding warrants. Debo was also found to be in possession of two types of schedule II controlled substances. Debo was arrested for outstanding warrants, felony possession of a controlled substance and obstructing official business.
On Feb. 3 at approximately 1:31 a.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a report of breaking and entering in the 200 block of South High Street. Upon the officers' arrival, it was found that a person(s) had forced entry into a garage via a back door, then into the residence. At the time this offense was reported, the victim advised he did not notice anything missing. A report was taken, and the incident remains under investigation.
At approximately 2:45 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a report of theft at the YMCA. Upon the officers' arrival, it was found that a person (s) had entered the men's locker room and taken cash from a wallet that was left in an unsecured locker. A report was taken, and the incident remains under investigation.
At approximately 3:45 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a report from the 900 block of North High St. that sometime in November and December of 2011, a violin had been stolen from the residence. The subject advised that he located the violin at a local pawn shop. A report was taken, and the incident remains under investigation.
