On Nov. 28, the department received a call from American Electric Power. They advised that sometime between Nov. 16-27, unknown persons stole 50 pounds of insulated copper off the service trucks while they were parked at AEP. MasTec, a subcontractor for AEP, also had a truck on the lot, and 100 pounds of copper were taken from their service truck. This report remains under investigation; anyone with information can call the Hillsboro Police Department at (937) 393-3411.
On Nov. 29, the Hillsboro Police Department received two reports of vehicles being broken into. One resident lived at Montrose Square Apartments, and the victim advised that a rock had been used to break out the passenger-side window of his truck. His wallet and medication were taken. The estimated damage was valued at $350. A resident in the 900 block of North High Street advised that her purse had been taken out of her vehicle. Both incidents are still under investigation.

Sarah Harless, 35, of Hillsboro, bench warrant.
Andrew Jones, 19, Hillsboro, receiving stolen property and obstructing.
Ivan Jones, 43, Hillsboro, receiving stolen property and obstructing.
Tiffany Young, 26, Hillsboro, failure to file city tax.
