Hillsboro Police Report

On Oct. 17, the Hillsboro Police Department received a call from a homeowner in the 400 block of South High Street. The victim advised that someone had removed all of the copper wire and copper pipe from the house. The suspects used an instrument to cut the wiring and the pipe. A stove, refrigerator, hot water tank and some sinks were also taken. This was a rental house, and no one was living in the house at the time of the incident. The report is still under investigation.
An employee of Pasquale's Pizza called the department on Oct. 17 at 11:30 p.m. The employee advised that a stranger was threatening a store employee. Officers located the suspect in the 200 block of West Main Street. The suspect was found to be James Beamer, 36, of Hillsboro. Beamer was found to be intoxicated and disorderly; he was arrested for these offenses.
On Oct. 18, Jerry Haag Motors contacted the department and advised that sometime before midnight, someone stole a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer off the lot. Suspects cut the key box off a Pontiac van. They were unable to get the vehicle. This report is still under investigation.
At 5 p.m. on Oct. 18, the department received a call from Walmart Loss Prevention stating they had confronted two females for taking winter coats. When confronted, the women ran. The women were found hiding inside the women's restroom at Kroger. Females were identified as Nichole Hauptman and Chelsea Roe. Hauptman, 23, of Hillsboro, was arrested for theft and also had an outstanding warrant through the Hillsboro Municipal Court. Roe, 20, of Leesburg was arrested for theft.[[In-content Ad]]
