Hillsboro Police Report

On Monday, April 18 at 1:30 a.m., an East Main Street resident reported receiving harassing phone calls. A warrant was issued for the offending party.

At 6:25 a.m., a resident in the 100 block of Tanglewood Drive reported that her vehicle had been entered and money was taken.

At 7:30 a.m., an altercation was reported at the Hillsboro Middle School. A 14-year-old female student was arrested for assault.

At 2:39 p.m., a shoplifting incident was reported at the Hillsboro Walmart. Amy N. Stephenson, 29, of Peebles, and Christa J. Taylor, 22, of West Union, were each charged with theft.

At 2:43 p.m., a serious injury crash was reported in the vicinity of 7671 North West Street. Upon investigation, Carol F. Sholler, 64, of New Vienna was traveling southbound when she ran off the right side of the road and then overcorrected, causing her vehicle to go into the northbound lane, where she struck a northbound vehicle operated by Kelly Colliver, 40, of Georgetown. There was heavy disabling damage to both vehicles. Both drivers and all occupants were injured and transported to Highland District Hospital. Sholler, along with a passenger in her vehicle, Michael Sholler, were subsequently transferred to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. Sholler was cited for failure to maintain reasonable control.

At 6:15 p.m., another resident in the 100 block of Tanglewood Drive reported that his vehicle had been entered and various items were taken.[[In-content Ad]]
