Hillsboro Police Report

On Sunday, April 10 at 10:08 a.m., a S. Glenn Street resident reported that an iPod and a bottle of Tylenol were taken from two vehicles at his residence.

At 11:42 a.m., a resident in the 500 block of W. Pleasant Street reported the theft of a wallet with a credit card and small amount of cash taken from his vehicle while parked at his residence.

At 12:38 p.m., officers responded to the Hillsboro Walmart Store on a reported shoplifting. Jason L. Simon, 35, of Hillsboro was taken into custody and charged with theft and possession of criminal tools. Simon had cut open packages of merchandise and then left the store with the items without paying for them.

At 1:47 p.m., a resident in the 800 block of West Main Street reported the theft of a radio/CD player from his vehicle while parked at his residence.

On Wednesday, April 13 at 5:21 a.m., officers of the Hillsboro Police Department responded to 1020 North West Street on a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon investigation, a 35-year-old male subject stated that he had been cut with a knife by his 29-year-old girlfriend, who fled the scene. Charges are pending.

At 9:52 a.m., a Hillsboro resident of Sinking Springs Road reported that his wallet was lost or possibly stolen at the First Stop gas station in Hillsboro.

At 5:33 p.m., a resident of the 200 block of East Lilly Avenue reported that her residence had been entered and money and jewelry taken. This incident remains under investigation.[[In-content Ad]]
