June 21
A deputy while on patrol in Paint Twp. observed a vehicle be driven recklessly in the 11000 block of North Shore Dr. While attempting to initiate a traffic stop, the driver of the vehicle sped off eastbound refusing to stop, eventually coming to a stop in the 7100 block of Highland Trail East.
The driver, later identified as William Campanaro, 48, of Hillsboro, ran into a residence. After several requests to exit the residence, deputies entered the residence and discovered Campanaro hiding inside a piece of furniture.
Campanaro was placed under arrest and will be facing several charges. Campanaro was transported to Clinton County Jail on a warrant from Wilmington Police Department.
June 22
A deputy responded to the 4200 block of Main St., Russell Station, after a report of a domestic disturbance. After investigation, a female had left prior to the deputy’s arrival. Charges are pending for a Hillsboro woman.
A resident of the 10000 block of Centerfield Road reported a neighbor was shooting in an unsafe manner and damaged their property. This incident remains under investigation.
