Health Department hosts clinic for H1N1 vaccines

The Highland County Health Department will be holding a clinic on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at the Highland County Health Department Office at 1487 N. High St. from 4-7 p.m. Due to limited H1N1 vaccines, the clinic will be limited to the following groups: Pregnant women; or children ages 3 through 18 years of age with one of the following conditions: weakened immune system due to HIV or chemotherapy; blood disorder (includes sickle cell disease); chronic lung disease, including asthma or COPD; diabetes; kidney or liver disorder; neurological (including brain, nervous system, or spinal cord) or neuromuscular disorders (including muscular dystrophy and multiple sclerosis); heart disease.
