April 12th, 2026

Offenses/Incidents

At 1:12 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Jefferson Street near Edgewood Avenue. The driver was warned for an equipment violation and expired registration.

At 2:40 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on South Washington Street near Lyndon Avenue. The driver was warned for illumination of the rear license plate and minor curfew hours.

At 3:03 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on North Washington Street near Ludlow Avenue. The driver was warned for illumination of the rear license plate.

At 3:09 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on North Washington Street near North Street. The driver was warned for headlights required and improper display of license plate.

At 6:36 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on South Washington Street near Mirabeau Street. The driver was warned for speed.

At 7:02 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of Jefferson Street. The driver was warned for speed.

At 9:00 A.M., a caller in the 400 block of McClain Avenue requested assistance unlocking their vehicle. Entry was unsuccessful.

At 9:22 A.M., a caller on S. R. 28 East, heading towards the village reported a driver of a white Nissian, possibly impaired and driving erratically. An officer patrolled the area.

At 9:48 A.M., a caller on S. R. 41, heading towards the village reported a dark colored Chevy Equinox passing several vehicles at once on double yellow lines and in curves. Officers located the vehicle parked and unoccupied.

At 2:02 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of North Street. The driver was warned for a stop sign violation.

At 4:20 P.M., a residence in the 400 block of Olive Street reported a parking complaint.

At 7:54 P.M., a caller in the 900 block of South Street reported property damage hit-skip. After investigation, Dylan Downs, 26, of Greenfield, was cited for leaving the scene of an accident.

At 7:54 P.M., a resident in the 100 block of North Street reported a juvenile complaint.

At 8:17 P.M., an officer reported a trash complaint at a residence in the 100 block of North Street.

At 9:35 P.M., a caller on South 7th Street reported following a tan Toyota van from Hillsboro had almost struck several vehicles. Officers located the vehicle and did not observe any traffic violations.

At 9:57 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop at McDonalds. The driver, James Howell Jr., 29, of Beaver, was cited for operating a motor vehicle with no valid operator's license.

At 11:16 P.M., an officer reported a water leak in the 100 block of Jefferson Street.

At 11:41 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on S. R. 41 near North Washington Street. The driver, Jonathan Wright, 45, of Greenfield, was cited for driving under suspension and stop bar violation.

Arrests/Citations

Dylan Downs, 26, of Greenfield, was cited for leaving the scene of an accident.

James Howell Jr., 29, of Beaver, was cited for operating a motor vehicle with no valid operator's license.

Jonathan Wright, 45, of Greenfield, was cited for driving under suspension and stop bar violation.

April 13th, 2026

Offenses/Incidents

At 4:39 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on South Washington Street near Mirabeau Street. The driver was warned for failure to display license plate.

At 6:49 A.M., a resident in the 400 block of Evans Street reported a juvenile complaint.

At 7:58 A.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office advised of an alarm activation at the Greenfield Middle School. After investigation, the system was determined to be malfunctioning.

At 1:16 P.M., a caller requested a welfare check on a resident in the 700 block of South Washington Street. An officer was unable to make contact with anyone at the residence.

At 6:25 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on S. R. 41. The driver was warned for expired registration.

At 7:23 P.M., Safety Alert advised of a medical alarm activation at a residence in the 800 block of McClain. The Highland County Sheriff's Office was advised.

At 9:23 P.M., Paint Creek Fire/EMS advised of a 2-year-old who had ingested a marijuana gummy earlier in the morning and was being in life flighted. This incident remains under investigation.

April 14th, 2026

Offenses/Incidents

At 9:33 A.M., a caller at Southern Hills Community Bank reported a known female throwing rocks at cars. An officer patrolled the area.

At 11:37 A.M., a caller at Southern Hills Community Bank reported a known female causing a disturbance inside of the establishment and was refusing to leave. Caller advised the female finally left and requested she be trespassed. An officer located the female at the Sudzy Dudz Laundromat and was warned for trespassing.

At 1:04 P.M., caller reported a parking complaint in the 200 block of North Washington Street.

At 1:26 P.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office advised of a 911-transfer in the 900 block of Mirabeau Street reporting a female causing a disturbance. After investigation, Betty Groves, 59, of Greenfield, was arrested for persistent disorderly conduct. 

At 6:52 P.M., a caller in the 600 block of Dickey Avenue reported a trash complaint.

At 7:48 P.M., a caller reported a disturbance at a residence in the 400 block of McClain Avenue. A male was warned for disorderly conduct.

At 9:01 P.M., a resident in the 400 block reported a female wearing blue shirt had entered his residence and left. A female was warned for trespassing.

Arrests/Citations

Betty Groves, 59, of Greenfield, was arrested for persistent disorderly conduct. 

April 15th, 2026

Offenses/Incidents

At 1:20 A.M., a caller in the 400 block of South 2nd Street reported two males causing a disturbance. An officer patrolled an area.

At 1:45 A.M., an officer conducted a security check at the bike path at South Washington Street. An officer warned two males for trespassing.

At 2:42 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop at Burger King. The driver was warned for improper license plate light color.

At 2:51 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the alleyway in the 500 block of South Street. The driver was warned for failure to signal and illumination of the rear license plate.

At 3:09 A.M., an officer conducted a warrant service at a residence in the 500 block of Lyndon Avenue. Chaunce Dawes, 47, of Greenfield, arrested on a failure to appear warrant out of the Highland County Court.

At 4:41 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on the S. R. 28 bridge. The driver was warned for headlights required.

At 5:22 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Mill Street. The driver was warned for speed.

At 5:29 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of Mill Street. The driver was warned for speed and illumination of the rear license plate.

A 5:37 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of Mill Street. The driver was warned for speed.

At 6:44 A.M., an officer conducted a warrant service at a residence in the 100 block of Paint Street.  Joseph Miller, 24, of Greenfield, was arrested on a two failure to appear warrants out of the Highland County Court.

At 9:39 A.M., the SRO requested an additional officer for an unruly juvenile.

At 10:28 A.M., an officer conducted a security check at the bike path at South Washington Street. The temporary structure was removed; however, a lot of trash was left behind. Individuals were advised to properly dispose of trash or would be issued citations.

At 12:41 P.M., a resident in South Salem reported fraud.

At 1:26 P.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office advised of a 911-hangup from a residence in the 1000 block of McClain Avenue. HCSO later advised the caller made a return call advising of a female with chest pains and requesting an officer. An officer responded and was unable to locate the individuals.

At 2:49 P.M., a resident in the 600 block of South Street reported identity theft. After investigation, it was determined the offense occurred in Washington Court House.  The resident was advised accordingly.

At 3:08 P.M., a caller requested a welfare check on a resident in the 1100 block of Greenhills Drive. An officer was unable to make contact with the resident.

At 3:20 P.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office advised of a 911-transfer in the 300 block of Jefferson Street reporting a theft of Pokémon cards and a shoe from a juvenile. The property was recovered.

At 8:03 P.M., a caller in the 300 block of Oak Street reported a male trespassing. The male was advised accordingly.

At 8:38 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of South 7th Street. The driver was advised accordingly.

At 8:54 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Jefferson Street near South McArthur Way. The driver was warned for a moving violation.

At 10:18 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on the S. R. 28 bridge. The driver was warned for a moving violation.

At 11:04 P.M., the Adena Greenfield Medical Center advised of a known male who had been previously trespassed had returned. AGMC is requesting prosecution.

At 11:33 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Thrifton Road near S. R. 28. The driver was warned for an equipment violation.

Arrests/Citations

Chaunce Dawes, 47, of Greenfield, arrested on a failure to appear warrant out of the Highland County Court.

Joseph Miller, 24, of Greenfield, was arrested on a two failure to appear warrants out of the Highland County Court.

April 16th, 2026

Offenses/Incidents

At 2:29 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of North Washington Street. The driver was warned for speed.

At 2:51 A.M., a resident in the 600 block of South Street reported a male causing a disturbance and appearing to be intoxicated. An officer patrolled the area.

At 4:39 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Jefferson Street. The driver was warned for speed.

At 5:10 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of Beatty Street. The driver was warned for speed.

At 5:27 A.M., a resident in the 1100 block of Greenhills Drive reported a noise complaint.

At 5:28 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of Mill Street. The driver was warned for speed.

At 6:23 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop at the Shell Gas Station. The driver was warned for speed.

At 8:58 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Mill Street. The driver was warned for a stop sign violation.

At 10:00 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Mill Street near North Washington Street. The driver was warned for a stop sign violation.

At 10:10 A.M., a caller reported individuals living under the Ross County side of the S. R. 28 bridge.

At 10:22 A.M., the Gallery and Storage reported a trash complaint.

At 10:45 A.M., Community Markets reported two males were observed on security footage shoplifting items. Both males were trespassed from the establishment. Prosecution was declined. 

At 12:35 P.M., a welfare check was conducted on a resident in the 1100 block of Greenhils Drive. The resident checked ok.

At 2:04 P.M., while on patrol in the 700 block of North 5th Street an officer observed an open house door. The residence was cleared and secured.

At 2:48 P.M., an officer was advised of theft of water utilities at the Greenfield Cemetery. A traffic stop was then conducted on a vehicle in the cemetery, with the driver consenting to a search of property.

At 4:58 P.M., a caller reported a non-injury motor vehicle crash at Flagway 16.

At 7:51 P.M., an officer conducted a warrant service at the Dollar General. Brian J. Hamilton, 51, of Bainbridge, was arrested on a local warrant for criminal trespass.

At 9:27 P.M., a resident in the 300 block of McClain Avenue reported a male who had previously trespassed from the property had returned. Upon arrival, the male fled on a bicycle from officers.

April 17th, 2026

Offenses/Incidents

At 1:13 A.M., an officer conducted a security check at Felsons Park.

At 2:00 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on the S. R. 28 bridge. The driver was advised accordingly about their license plate.

At 4:09 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on the S. R. 28 bridge. The driver was warned for speed.

At 5:10 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on S. R. 41 near Corvac. The driver was warned for headlights required.

At 5:29 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on S. R. 41. The driver was warned for white light emitting from the rear and no red reflectors.

At 5:41 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Mill Street. The driver was warned for failure to obey a traffic control device.

At 5:54 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Mill Street. The driver was warned for failure to obey a traffic control device.

At 6:08 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on S. R. 28 near Thrifton Road. The driver was warned for speed.

At 6:15 A.M. an officer conducted a traffic stop on the S. R. 28 bridge. The driver was warned for speed.

At 6:33 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on the S. R. 28 bridge. The driver was warned for speed.

At 9:11 A.M., a caller at Save A Lot requested assistance unlocking their vehicle.

At 9:48 A.M., Reach requested a known male to be trespassed from the establishment. The male was trespassed.

At 9:56 A.M., a resident in the 400 block of Jefferson Street requested a known male to be trespassed from the property. The male was trespassed.

At 12:00 P.M., a caller on S. R. 41 reported a cream-colored Toyota Camry was all over the roadway, heading towards the village. An officer located the vehicle and did not observe any violations. Contact was made with the driver and occupants who checked ok.

At 2:38 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on North Washington Street near Mill Street. The driver was warned for a stop sign violation.

At 3:59 P.M., a caller in the 400 block of McKell Avenue reported a delivery driver on the ground. Officers responded and did not locate anyone.

At 4:49 P.M., a caller in the area of North Street and North Washington Street reported a known male driving a van upon the sidewalk nearly striking two pedestrians and a pole. Officers patrolled the area.

At 6:16 P.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office advised of a 911-transfer reporting a non-injury motor vehicle crash in the area of Jefferson Street and 7th Street. 

At 6:40 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of Jefferson Street. A K-9 unit was requested to the scene and conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle. The K-9 alerted to the presence of narcotics. A probable cause search of the vehicle led to the discovery of items of drug paraphernalia. The driver, Steven Shumaker II, 48, of Greenfield, was cited for right of way rule. The passenger, Natosha Earls, 44, of Greenfield, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

At 9:39 P.M., a caller in the area of South 6th Street and the railroad tracks reported a possible domestic complaint. The caller advised of a male that had hit a female and drug her to a black car and drove North on South 6th Street. The caller further advised the car then turned East onto Jefferson Street. Officers then conducted a traffic stop at Flagway 12 on a vehicle fitting the description. After investigation, it was determined not to be the correct vehicle.

Arrests/Citations

Amy L. Francks, 44, of Bainbridge, was arrested on a local warrant for failure to appear.

Steven Shumaker II, 48, of Greenfield, was cited for right of way rule.

Natosha Earls, 44, of Greenfield, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.


April 18th, 2026

Offenses/Incidents

At 2:50 A.M., a resident in the 300 block of Jefferson Street reported a civil complaint.

At 5:35 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on S. R. 41 near Corvac. The driver was warned for failure to signal.

At 5:56 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of Jefferson Street. The driver, Tracy Horwath, 52, of Grove City, was cited for speed.

At 6:46 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on the S. R. 28 bridge. The driver was warned for speed.

At 6:58 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on the S. R. 28 bridge. The driver was warned for speed.

At 7:16 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Jefferson Street. The driver was warned for speed.

At 9:31 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop at Flagway 16. The driver was warned for speed.

At 9:45 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop at the North End Mini Mart. The driver was warned for speed.

At 11:22 A.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office advised of a 911-hangup at the Dollar General. Everything checked ok.

At 12:16 P.M., a caller requested a welfare check on a resident in the 500 block of Dickey Avenue. 

At 1:25 P.M., ADT Security advised of a residential alarm activation. Everything checked ok.

At 1:34 P.M., a caller in the 400 block of Olive Street reported a parking complaint.

At 2:18 P.M., Murray Fettro's Funeral Home requested assistance with a funeral procession.

At 4:42 P.M., a caller at the Family Dollar requested EMS for a male who had fallen in the alley with a head injury. The Highland County Sheriff's Office was advised. Paint Creek Fire/EMS transported the male to the Adena Greenfield ER.

At 7:45 P.M., a resident in the 900 block of Mirabeau Street reported trespassing of multiple individuals. All persons were warned for trespassing.

At 8:49 P.M., a caller at Catch 22 reported two intoxicated individuals attempting to drive away from the premises. Officers responded and later discovered the individuals had a ride.

At 9:52 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on S. R. 41 near North Washington Street. The driver was warned for display of license plate.

At 10:18 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on North 4th Street near Jefferson Street. The driver was warned for a moving violation.

At 10:27 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of South 7th Street. The driver was advised accordingly.

At 11:27 P.M., officers made contact with a male in the area of 5th Street and Jefferson Street. The male was advised accordingly.

At 11:32 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on South McArthur Way near Smith Street. The driver, Elizabeth Miller, 44, of Greenfield, was cited for driving under suspension.

Arrests/Citations

Tracy Horwath, 52, of Grove City, was cited for speed.

Elizabeth Miller, 44, of Greenfield, was cited for driving under suspension.
