Four new resident physicians join
CMH/UC Family Medicine Residency
WILMINGTON – The CMH Regional Health System/University of Cincinnati Family Medicine Residency Program recently welcomed four new first-year
resident physicians.
They are Dr. Muhammad Ahmad, Dr. Bita Haji Zadeh, Dr. Milan Petrovic and Dr. Leelmohan (Leo) Ravikumar.
Dr. Muhammad Ahmad graduated from Saba University School of Medicine after completing his undergraduate degree at Marquette University
in Milwaukee. He has been involved in medical mission work in Honduras and Vietnam.
Dr. Haji Zadeh graduated with honors from Univerzita Komenskeho in Slovakia. She completed a preliminary year of general surgery at St. Vincent Medical Center in New York City.
Dr. Petrovic is a graduate of the University of Belgrade Medical School. Since December 2007, he has been working as a research scientist in the
department of family and community medicine at the University of Cincinnati. While at UC, Dr. Petrovic supported a major Type 2 Diabetes Genomics study.
Dr. Ravikumar graduated from Ross University School of Medicine after completing a degree in biology from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Va. He
has volunteered at New York Hospital of Queens Medical Center and with the Red Cross.
Beginning its 13th year, the residency program has graduated nearly 50 physicians, many of whom have started their first practice locally. Most
recently, 2010 graduate Dr. Rachel Sneed joined the CMH Family Health Center, which is the clinical practice affiliated with the residency
program. Dr. Sneed is also a new member of the faculty.
Though originally conceived to train physicians to practice in rural areas, the program has a proven track record of preparing family physicians to
practice in any environment.
