Former Ohio Senate president Doug White appointed to Expositions Commission

Ohio Gov. John R. Kasich has announced appointments to the Ohio Expositions Commission and the Hocking Technical College Board of Trustees.  

Former Ohio Senate President Doug White of Manchester will serve as a member of the Ohio Expositions Commission for a term beginning Feb. 24, 2011 and ending Dec. 1, 2016.

White, a Republican, served as president of the Ohio Senate for two years, from 2003-05, succeeding Richard Finan. White also represented Highland County while serving in the Ohio House of Representatives.

After his service in the Senate, White served as director of the Ohio Department of Commerce in Gov. Bob Taft's Cabinet.

Kasich also announced that Nicholas W. Zuk will serve as chairman of the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) Board of Directors and Thomas Price of Delaware has been re-appointed to the Ohio Expositions Commission for a term beginning Feb. 24, 2011 and ending Dec. 1, 2016.

Mike Brooks of Nelsonville will serve as a member of the Hocking Technical College Board of Trustees for a term beginning Feb. 24, 2011 and ending Aug. 26, 2011.[[In-content Ad]]
