Fairfield High School inducts inaugural Hall of Fame class

Fairfield High School held its inaugural induction ceremony for the Fairfield Athletic Hall of Fame Saturday, Feb. 5.

Hall of Fame inductees included: (front, l-r) Kay Cummings (class of 1982) and Nathan Van Winkle (class of 1997) and (back, l-r), Louis A. Pausch Jr. (class of 1924), represented by Jerry Pausch; Bill Kildow (class of 1955), Jim Cook Jeffersonville High School class of 1959), and Kevin Greer (class of 1973).

Also inducted was the 1936 Leesburg High School Class B state runner-up team, with David Willis, the son of team member Jack Willis, accepting the honor.

The Hall of Fame committee includes: Matthew Carson, athletic director and co-chairman; Thomas E. Purtell, Athletic Booster president and co-chairman; Steve Barrett, former athletic director; Stephen Hackett, high school principal; Susan Deatley, Fairfield Alumni Association; Jim D. Cook, appointee and former athletic director; Shawn Priest, appointee and assistant athletic director; Jerry Pausch, appointee; and Chad Hamilton, appointee.
