Commissioners proclaim Sunshine Week

Highland County Commissioners passed a proclamation recognizing the week of March 11-17 as Sunshine Week.

Sunshine Week is a national initiative to promote a dialogue about the importance of open government and freedom and information, particularly regarding all meetings of any public body declared to be public meetings open to the public at all times. Participants include news media, civic groups, libraries, nonprofit organizations, schools and others interested in the public's right to know.[[In-content Ad]]
