Accident injures pedestrian

By
Hillsboro Police Department-
On Feb. 23 at 7:33 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department was called to the 100 block of S. East Street on the complaint of an accident involving a pedestrian.
Upon arrival and after investigation, it was found that Cathleen Savage was westbound at the intersection of East Main and East Street attempting to turn left onto South East Street. Savage waited for oncoming traffic and then made the left turn. There were three pedestrians crossing South East Street at that intersection. Savage did not see the pedestrians and struck one of them. The pedestrian was transported to Highland District Hospital by the Hillsboro Fire Department.
