Lions gain win over Dragons

Fairfield rebounded from the previous night with a win over a Southern Hills Athletic Conference opponent Wednesday evening, defeating the West Union Dragons, 11-3 in seven innings.

The Lions began things early with a three-run first, followed later on with five runs in the fourth, for a lead of 8-2 after the Dragons began the top of the fourth with two runs.

WU added one run in the top of the fifth, but the Lions continued to accumulate runs as they scored three in the bottom of the sixth.


[[In-content Ad]]The win moves FHS to 3-2 overall and 1-1 in the SHAC.

FHS plays again on Saturday as they have a non-conference doubleheader with the Washington Blue Lions.
