Lions finish season in districts

SARDINIA — The Fairfield Lions wrapped up their '11 season Monday evening with a 4-0 loss to the Eastern Brown Warriors in a Division III SE District Semifinal match at EBHS.

The Lions finish the season at 7-7-4 overall with a sectional championship after defeating the Northwest Mohawks last week in their first postseason match.

FHS went 1-1 in the postseason.

The undefeated Warriors are the No. 1 seed in their bracket, and the Lions were a No. 4 seed. Earlier this postseason, the Warriors, the Southern Hills League champion, defeated North Adams, 7-4.

EB will play again on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 1 p.m. at Jackson High School.[[In-content Ad]]
