Lions finish in 7th at Mason Invitational

The Fairfield boys cross-country team ran at the Mason Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 10, held at Corwin-Nixon Park.
 
The course was a traditional cross-country course that featured two creek jumps, a steep mulch hill, hay bales and wooded trails.
 
Michael Mangus was the top finisher for the Lions of Fairfield with a second-place finish at 17:39.

Also for FHS, Blake Hildebrant finished at 22nd (18:47); John Cain, 40th, 19:22; Wyatt Crothers, 60th, 19:50; and Dustin Willey, 69th, 21:35. Also running were Matthew Leach, Tyler Sims and Caleb Huff. The team placed seventh out of 25 full teams. There were 208 athletes competing in the race.
