The Fairfield boys fifth-grade team finished as tournament finalists in the Wilmington College March Madness Classic this year. According to Coach Simmons, the boys played with heart and desire to upset many teams from larger schools, such as Hillsboro, East Clinton, Zane Trace and a huge comeback from a 14-point deficit in the fourth quarter to beat Wilmington, 32-30 to go to the final championship game. Coach Simmons and Coach Saunders couldn't be more proud to see the boys "want it."[[In-content Ad]]
