First off, with their 6-0 win over Manchester, they clinched their second consecutive Southern Hills League Division II title, and the second reason was senior pitcher Lauren Larrick was perfect from the circle, tossing her first career perfect game.

Though they scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, the deficit of the Fairfield Lions was too much to overcome as they fell in a Southern Hills League game to the Eastern Brown Warriors, 8-5 Monday at FHS.

The Fairfield Lady Lions saw their 23-game Southern Hills League winning streak come to a close on Monday, and with that, they have to wait another day for their shot at a second outright SHL Division II title.
