Members of the Premier Showmen 4-H Club recently demonstrated their commitment to serving their community by collecting school supplies for the Highland County Advocacy Center.

The donations will help ensure local children have the tools they need for a successful start to the upcoming school year.

Club members donated a variety of essential classroom items, including notebooks, pencils, crayons, markers, folders, glue, backpacks, and other school necessities. The supplies will benefit children and families served by the Highland County Advocacy Center, helping ease the financial burden many face as they prepare for the new school year.

"One of the goals of 4-H is to develop caring, responsible young leaders who give back to their communities," said club community service officer Dwight Hamilton. "Our members were excited to come together to support children in Highland County and make a positive difference."

The school supply drive is one of several community service projects completed by the Premier Showmen 4-H Club throughout the year. Through these efforts, members continue to embody the 4-H pledge by using their hands for larger service and their hearts for greater loyalty to their community.
