McClain FFA 'living to serve' local community

Lead Summary
By
Whitney Blazer-

The FFA motto states that FFA members are expected to "live to serve.” During National FFA Week, the McClain FFA Chapter hosted their first clothing drive. Students brought in a total of 250 clothing items.

For the clothing drive, members were encouraged to sort through old clothes and deliver them to McClain High School. The clothing items were then donated to the Greenfield Area Christian Center. They were distributed amongst families in need.

By providing ways for members to serve their community, the chapter is creating well-rounded students who put others before themselves.

The McClain FFA Chapter plans to expand upon community service activities to benefit those in the local area.
