McClain FFA excels in Sub District Contest

The McClain FFA Chapter won three of five categories at the Sub District Public Speaking Contest. A total of nine members participated in the event. 

Emily Jones, Ethan Cockerill, Bryn Karnes and Trevor Newkirk competed in the Creed Speaking Contest. Kyle Wyatt was in the Advanced Prepared. Advanced Creed Speakers included Hannah Smith and Cindy Smith. Madison Schumacher and Sunny Bland competed in Beginning Prepared. James Looney was in the Extemporaneous Contest.

The Chapter received eight gold ratings and one silver rating. 

Jones, Wyatt and Hannah Smith placed first in their divisions. They move on to the District Contest on Feb. 23.
