Hillsboro High School September students of the month are as follows:
• Austin Huff: The Math Department student of the month is Austin Huff. Austin is always working hard, participating and asking questions. He is very respectful and brings great energy to class.
• Alyssa Taylor: Alyssa is the English Department student of the month. Alyssa is off to a great start this year in English. She has an A average and is consistently an active participant in class discussions. She has displayed an excellent attitude and seems determined to do her best.
• Harper Steele: Harper is the Social Studies Department student of the month. She works very hard in the classroom. She is always on top of her classwork, and if she misses class she always makes sure to get missed work and turn it in in a timely manner.
• Jayden Wells: The Science Department student of the month is Jayden Wells. Jayden is a science rock star. He is an enthusiastic learner, a deep thinker and an extremely kind human being.
• Abby Anderson: Abby is the Agriculture Department student of the month. Abby recently brought her rabbits into school and shared with the rest of the department how to present and prepare them for show, as we were preparing for the Highland County Fair.
• Gracie Boatman: Gracie is our Elective Department student of the month. Gracie’s kindness is constant; she goes out of her way to include those who might otherwise be left out. Gracie brings original ideas to group projects, class discussions and school activities. Whether she is leading by example or quietly lifting others up, Gracie makes our school a better place every single day.
• Jayden Rudy: The Intervention Department student of the month is Jayden Rudy. Jayden has shown great work ethic and focus on his academics this year. He has made tremendous progress since last year and has done a great job of keeping up with his workload and being productive. Great job, we are really proud of you.
A special thank-you to 62 Classics’ Diner for sponsoring the month of September. Each student of the month received gift certificates for the diner.
