Hillsboro FFA members gathered after school on Dec. 15 to go Christmas caroling for nursing home residents as well as shopping for Adopt-A-Family.

Adopt-A-Family is a program in which members of the community come together and help to provide Christmas gifts for families in difficult financial situations. These activities counted as the monthly FFA meeting for December.

The members took a bus to three different nursing homes including, The Laurels, Bell Gardens Place, and Heartland. After Christmas caroling, the members went to Walmart to shop for twenty-five individuals in need.

The members split up into small groups and were assigned a person for which to shop. The money spent on these individuals was raised during the 5K event that the Hillsboro FFA hosted in November. We appreciate all of the sponsors and participants in the 5K that helped to make Adopt-A-Family happen this year
