Hillsboro FFA members compete in Agricultural Industrial Diagnostics contest

On Wednesday, Feb. 10, two Hillsboro FFA members traveled to Wilmington to compete against other schools in the AIDs contest, which is short for Agricultural Industrial Diagnostics.

This contest is a CDE (Career Development Event) which helps you figure out problems with different types of machinery or vehicles. Once you figure out the problem with the machinery, you have to try to fix it with your knowledge.

This CDE helps prepare members for the future when they have to figure out what is wrong with machinery or other things that break.

Jireh Vance and Chase Williamson were the two members from Hillsboro who competed, and they came in third place out of all the teams.

The two boys prepared for this contest by going to Five Points Implement in Hillsboro to better their knowledge and learn where to begin fixing things.
