Alyson Murphy, a 2022 graduate of McClain High School, has been chosen for the 2025 Ohio State University Homecoming Court.

Murphy, who served as the Ohio FFA State Reporter in her senior year at McClain, is majoring in political science at OSU, with a minor in agricultural communication and civic engagement.

At OSU, she is involved with the John Glenn College's Washington Academic Internship Program, Mortar Board National Honor Society, Sigma Alpha Professional Agricultural Sorority, Stamps Eminence Scholarship Program and Undergraduate Student Government.

On what it means to be a Buckeye, she said: "To me, being a Buckeye means belonging to a community rooted in tradition, pride and a drive to make a difference. It’s about carrying the values of hard work, leadership and service beyond campus – whether in Ohio or around the world. Being a Buckeye means cheering for something bigger than yourself, supporting fellow students and taking pride in our shared accomplishments. It’s about embracing every opportunity to grow, lead and give back, while knowing you’re always part of the Buckeye family, no matter where life takes you. Once a Buckeye, always a Buckeye.

Alyson is the daughter of Roger and Liz Murphy of Greenfield.
