Greenfield native earns master’s degree from Midwestern University

GLENDALE, Ariz. – Cheyenne Bertrand (née Watson), M.S., of Greenfield, Ohio, has completed the master of science degree in speech-language pathology in the College of Health Sciences at Midwestern University. Conferring of degrees took place in a graduation ceremony held at Midwestern University’s Glendale Campus auditorium on June 1.

Cheyenne is the daughter of Bainbridge resident James Watson, and older sister of Jhett and Laycee Watson. She graduated from Edward Lee McClain High School in 2018 and earned her B.S. in speech-language pathology & audiology from Miami University in 2022. She began her studies at Midwestern University in the fall of 2024. 

While at Midwestern University, Cheyenne served as the speech-language pathology class of 2026 liaison on the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association Board. She was also one of only eight scholars in the Translational Adaptations Group. 

Cheyenne was chosen by faculty as the student remarks speaker for the College of Health Sciences Graduation Ceremony on June 1. After graduation from Midwestern, she will begin her work as a speech-language pathologist in the Prescott Unified School District, helping students with a variety of communication needs access the general education settings and reach their full potential as students.
