Mrs. Karen Trout and the students at St. Mary Catholic School recently presented the Spring Vocal Program entitled "Happiness Runs in a Circular Motion."
Also included in the program was Mrs. Robinson's Second Grade Bell Ensemble.
Students took a series of three tests to complete their challenge, led by Rhonda Sponcil (retired teacher). Emily McVay and Isaac Smith came out on the top with perfect scores.

Highland County Farm Bureau is pleased to announce that John Patrick Roush of Lynchburg has been chosen to receive a $1,000 scholarship from Highland County Farm Bureau.
Highland County Common Pleas Court/Juvenile and Probate Division Judge Kevin Greer provided a pizza party for this Fairfield Elementary School class. The party was the result of a contest for whichever class raised the most money for the annual Highland County Society for Children and Adults Telethon, sponsored by the Hillsboro and Greenfield Rotary Clubs.
On May 9, the Hillsboro FFA Chapter held Food For America at the Tipton's family farm. Food For America is an event held for the kindergarteners of Hillsboro Elementary School.
DURHAM, N.C. – Hillsboro High School graduate (class of 2009) Holly M. Hilliard has graduated summa cum laude from Duke University's Trinity College of Arts and Sciences with a bachelor's degree in English. Hilliard graduated Sunday at Duke University's 161st commencement ceremony.
Eleven students in Southern State Community College's early education program completed their practicum experience and earned their associate of applied science degrees.
