The Fairfield High School Cross Country boys finished third of 15 teams at the Aaron Reed Memorial Invitational at Southeastern High School in Chillicothe.
Though the match only went three sets, the Highland County rivalry between the McClain Lady Tigers and Fairfield Lady Lions went close each set, but in the end it was the Lady Tigers who defended their home court with wins of 25-23, 25-21 and 25-22 Monday for a non-league victory.
