The 2023 Highland County Fair is in full swing and continues through Saturday, Sept. 9.
Popup rain showers on Wednesday afternoon spoiled some of the activities, such as rides, but they also served to cool off the sweltering, dry temperatures seen thus far during the fair. The day's activities included sheep, poultry, dairy and goat shows.
Junior Fair sales start Wednesday night with the dairy and hog sale and continue Thursday and Friday.
