Wildcats out-run Greyhounds for SHL win

MOWRYSTOWN — Behind another 20-plus point output by Joe Michael, along with double-figure scoring from Doc Seip and Gage Carraher, the Whiteoak Wildcats gained a Southern Hills League win over the Manchester Greyhounds, 57-43.
WHS led 11-6 after the first quarter and outscored MHS 12-6 in the second quarter. At halftime, WHS led 23-12. In the third quarter, WHS scored 14 points, while holding MHS to 11 points. In the final frame, each team scored 20 points.
Coming off 28 points in his last outing, Michael scored a game-high 25 points against the Greyhounds Friday. Michael made one 3-pointer, along with seven two-point baskets. He was 8-of-16 from the free-throw line.
Seip and Carraher each added 11 points for the Wildcats. Seip made five shots from the field and one free throw, and Carraher was 6-of-8 from the free-throw line, with one 3-pointer and one shot from the field.
Mike Carraher scored seven points with one 3-pointer and two two-point baskets, Wes Stratton scored two points, and Logan Morris scored one point.
WHS tallied a total of three 3-pointers and went 18-of-31 from the free-throw line.
For Manchester, Combs led with 11 points. West tallied nine points, and Adams scored eight.
MHS was 6-of-10 from the free-throw line and made three 3-pointers.
