Sosby named Game MVP at Softball Showcase

Sosby, a pitcher, was selected the game's Most Valuable Player after hurling a no-hitter in her portion of a game, while recording seven strikeouts.
The annual event, which is the largest fast-pitch softball event of its kind (est. 1996), selects approximately 300 athletes out of over 2,000 applicants from 30-plus states and two Canadian Provinces to compete in the two-day event. The event is attended by over 110 college coaches from as far away as North Dakota.
Players, ranging in age from freshman to senior in high school, are placed on random teams by the position they were selected for to compete in games.
